Wasabi Wallet : How to move funds from Wasabi to your Hardware Wallet?
As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Wasabi Wallet is a privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet. It is an open-source, non-custodial wallet designed to enhance the privacy and fungibility of Bitcoin transactions. Wasabi Wallet utilizes a technology called CoinJoin, which allows multiple users to combine their transactions into a single transaction with multiple inputs and outputs, making it more difficult to trace the origin and destination of individual bitcoins.
How Does It Work?
Wasabi coinjoins normally until your target anonymity set is reached (default 50.) After that it starts registering outputs to the coinjoins from your destination wallet, thus you are slowly and privately coinjoining your money to your destination wallet.
Here are some key features and aspects associated with Wasabi Wallet:
- CoinJoin: Wasabi Wallet uses a CoinJoin implementation called Chaumian CoinJoin, which helps break the link between input and output addresses in Bitcoin transactions.
- Privacy: The primary goal of Wasabi Wallet is to enhance the privacy of Bitcoin transactions, making it more challenging for third parties to analyze and track user activity on the Bitcoin blockchain.
- Open Source: Wasabi Wallet is open-source, meaning its code is publicly available for inspection and contribution by the community. This transparency is important for security and trust.
- User Interface: The wallet has a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily mix their coins for increased privacy. It also provides features like labeling transactions for better organization.
- Desktop Application: Wasabi Wallet is available as a desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Conclusion
It's important to note that developments in the cryptocurrency space can happen rapidly, and there may have been changes or updates to Wasabi Wallet since my last update in September 2021. Therefore, it's advisable to check the official website or other reliable sources for the latest information on Wasabi Wallet and any developments that may have occurred since then.
